the Aussie keeper Mitch Langerak would be an asset to have at the KC next season .He transferred to Borussia Dortmund about a year ago and it was rumoured he might go to the SPL in January this year .I haven't followed his progress in the Bundesliga , perhaps someone may be able to enlighten me.I think Dortmund payed about $500.000 for him so a decent fee might be needed , but he is young and is very promising.
Good shout....young enough and big enough. Regarding another aussie I thought Josh Kennedy might be a good option for a big man up front...only on a 1 year contract with a Japanese side at the moment. Played enough internationals for the Socceroos to qualify for a work visa I reckon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joshua_Kennedy
I've noticed west brom being linked with a host of keepers. That must mean myhill is on his way. I wouldn't completely rule out a return there.
Having Myhill back would be great in my opinion if we can pick him up for a small fee. Work on his distribution and communication and we'll have a great keeper on our hands!
Langerak has a 4 year contract with Borussia and would not come to Hull imo. Jin-Hyung Song, an attacking midfielder, would be a future option. Currently with Tours in the French League 2 he is half way through a 2 year contract. Josh Kennedy is not of this level imo. There are no players in the Australian A-League above League 1 level (again imo). Harry Kewell is weighing up options over the next two weeks. His agent says they are from all over the world including the EPL. Melbourne Victory have confirmed that they have made an offer in the vicinity of 2 million AusDollars (1 and a quarter million quid) whilst other A-League sides have declared their interest.
Speak of the devil....2 good goals from Kennedy this morning....just saw them on SSN. I know it was only against NZ but the header looked excellent. 6'4' and would cost a small fee....who am I trying to convince???
myhill may improve under corrigan this time round, as opposed to the joke that was prudhoe. IMHO i wouldnt want bo back. he was good but had too many errors in his game. but again, that could be due to prudhoe.
Joe Corrigan has left the club I think. They were looking at a different goalkeeping coach at the end of the season. For goalkeepers, Tomas Cerny from Hamilton would be a good shout, he probably wouldn't cost much with Hamilton being relegated. Or Matej Delac from Chelsea if we can secure a work permit.
I liked Bo as a shot stopper but surely after all those seasons with the Tigers what makes you think he can learn something now about his slow wayward distribution, his communication and his inability to get his angles correct?
We're already after Mannone, Guzan, Eilhoff and Gilks(allegedly), I think there's plenty of names in the frame already.
I saw somewhere Kevin Pressman was interested in the goalkeeping coach job, he has close links with Pearson. I'd have Myhill back in a flash, he's plenty good enough for the Championship, in the Prem he was playing behind the likes of Mcshane, Zayette and Gardner, no wonder his form went a bit, even then he had a few wonder games like v Spurs.
