21 teams would rather be in our position. Hell, we've played 4 ''promotion rivals'' in B'mouth, Colu, Sheff Weds and Scunny in our opening 4 games. These sort of reactions from fans were the kind that allowed teams to visit the Valley last season knowing if we didn't score within 20 minutes the fans would get on the players back. Last night was disappointing, sure. But I'm going to be honest with a lot of individuals here... you are overreacting.
Interestingly, the crowd at the game didn't boo afterwards, which would've happened last year. I don't think there's too much negative reaction. Sheffield Wednesday improved and we got worse, we should have made it 2-0, but if that's the worst I see this year I'll end the season damn happy. Makes the result against Exeter more important, but if you'd offered me 4 points from these 2 home games I'd have probably taken it, as I think we're only going to get better as the season goes on.
The season is going well, no doubt about it. But performances like last night are very disappointing so it is only natural for fans to voice their opinions. Everyone will be back on board for Saturday.
OK then Super can you explain to me why Chris will not talk to the other members of the management team during a game? He just sits on the advertising with his arms crossed, this seems a bit aloof to me as if he is saying "I don't need your advice so keep away" Overreacting? If you see something wrong we can discuss it, otherwise we may as well live in Iran.
It's as near a similar reaction to the defeat by Brighton at home last season that I've witnessed! Dread to think what will happen if we don't win on Saturday.
to be fair, the 2nd half performance had a hint of 'not winning comfortably is not something we're used to' and so we got a bit desperate and started hoofing it. MM even said this on the OS so as long as the players know that hoofing it is never the answer (listening Megson?) then we'll be fine. Still think we will go up. Can't wait to see the boys again at exeter!
