Just been watching the yeovil - swindon game.

What a difference to championship football,so so slow.

Certainly not looking forward to watching this dross week in week out.

These two sides are at the top end of the table as well.
Very poor football in my opinion.

Which if we get relegated could be a benefit. We will be one of the biggest teams in league 1, They'll lose Sheffield United arguably the best team, And most likely gain Us Wolves Barnsley or Peterborough. So if we keep sod and some key players we should be alright.

I've always said and stand by my words, it will be a total disaster if we go down. (I can remember making my views felt last November)
Anyone who thinks it could be good is deluded. Any decent players will leave, no decent players will want to come, yes we have the academy, but again any decent players from that will be looking elsewhere. ST's will be down, Gates will be down, income will be down, debts will increase..
And like others have said, don't think it will be easy to come back up.........it took us 10 years last time..

    Can't bloody wait <steam>

    U
    Your a happy soul ain't you <laugh>

Like you I don't think we will bounce back up straight away, Coventry Sheff Utd and PNE have shown that when you drop it ain't always easy to get back up, and didn't Leeds have to do it via Play offs? Don't think we will lose many players as they will try at least one season there if we don't bounce then I think we could lose a few then.

Sorry mate, but if the board would have acted sooner, I don't believe we would be in the same position and I had one of my famous gut feelings we were leaving it too long!
What I do hope, if go down is that we can hang on to SOD for a couple of seasons, otherwise I can see us with another up and coming manager from the lower or Scottish leagues.

SL will want a return to the championship without doubt, anything less will be a failure.

iF we get relegated,we have the man in place to rebuild us for the first time in decades.

Will he want League 1 footy that is the issue?

The board must take responsibility for the position the club finds itself in.

SOD joined a team at the bottom of the league, and a team that the bookies backed to be bottom of the table from the start. He knew that we were likely to go down this season, and I reckon he's fine with managing at League 1 level, as long as he gets to make the decisions.

That being said, we'll be lucky to do well in League 1 considering the level of football we've played, even under SOD. We'll probably lose a number of our good players when we are relegated and we'll have to totally rely on SOD being able to build a team that can get promoted and stay up when we go back up.

Very true and he must take the flack if it happens,SOD is in no way the culprit if we go down.

Actually I thought Swindle played rather well despite the pitch and forced Yeovil's keeper into making a couple of excellent saves.

I was sat in a pub in West Swindon thinking to myself that we would struggle against them (Swindon). They are very big, strong players and won almost all the 50/50s.

I actually thought Yeovil were rather poor by contrast, with inaccurate passing and hoofball. Not what I would expect from a GJ side.
