Until this season, you never saw anyone looking at the 7th place team thinking "they've got an advantage over us because they aren't in europe". Instead it was "ahaha no european football, what are you guys doing in midweek LOL". Now we have had people going o n about no european football being an advantage to the point where some are looking at man utd and thinking "what if they do a liverpool?"
Man Utd believe they have that advantage next season now they failed to get European football #pressure
It's going to be a new pattern. finish 7th with no Europe, then go for a title challenge and get into the CL. Next year, perform crap in the league and go for it in Europe - finish 7th in the league but do well in Europe. Next season, no Europe so put another title challenge and get CL. and so on and so on.
Awesome season and no reason to think next year won't be more of the same a few tweaks and we may find ourselves pushing again my one worry is that out youngsters may be burnt out toward end of season with wc - hopefully br will manage them
Thinking back to the summers of 2002 and 2009, we have to get it right this summer in the transfer window. We have to take advantage of being in the CL so we cant be looking at budget players like Cheyrou or Kygiakos. Its gonna take a lot of work just to stay in the top 4 never mind winning the league.
Diouf, 2 good games for Senegal in the WC got him a move to us instead of Anelka Let' hope we don't sign the flavour of the month this time
