You know me by now - I like a little flutter now and again........<laugh>

Just thought this might be of interest to some given Westley's transformation at Newport County and the way they're going now with Healy and Sheehan looking so lethal up front.

Looking at the League 2 table, I see they're only 7 points off a playoff place and with a game in hand over everyone - potentially only 4 points off then.

Now I just looked at the odds against them getting into the top 7 by the end of the season and was surprised to see them at 14/1.

Just stuck 8 quid on them to do it to return me £120.

Worth a punt anyone else?

Not very generous odds bearing in mind their current league position, 3 wins on the spin notwithstanding.

Must be better 14-1 shots?

Mind you football betting is maddening. Twice now Barcelona have been the ones to mess up my accumulator this season. On Sunday versus 9 men as well<doh>

I'm still in the red this season:emoticon-0149-no:

Nin, their current league position is irrelevant - it's the points differential that matters.

They had a disastrous start under Feeney but with Westley there now they look a different class.

I reckon they will go up that table no sweat - whether they can get top 7 is another matter but I reckon 14/1 against is far from ungenerous.

14/1 not a betting man but looks good 7 games undefeated 5 wins and 2 draws.

I think your on a winner there Sparks as long as they can keep Westley.

(and Healy)

Bluey - still only 10 points off a playoff place with a game in hand on the rest as well............I'm still hanging in there....<laugh>

I see they're away to top of the table Plymouth next week but after that they have a number of winnable games up to Christmas - a bit like us.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Plymouth is FA cup 2nd round so a bit of a jolly with much needed cash if they progress and the chance of a plum 3rd round draw - v City maybe?

Could be an interesting first Saturday of 2017.

<doh> Bluey, didn't notice that game for County at Plymouth was a Cup game - still, all the better for it rather than trying to get league points down there..

Their league games for the rest of the year look very winnable.

Anything can happen for them yet especially when you're talking about top 7 in League 2 for playoffs and not top 6 for us in the Championship.
