Don't let them push you away, that's their nature. Any way they are all full of wind. Roll on the football starting and maybe we can get away from all this political scoring, do we really need 3 threads to shout about how good labour are and how **** everyone else is.

I have never ever voted Labour, or Tory!....... <ok>

I like that, oh for a transfer to get back to talking footy. I'm getting fed up with all this political bollox.

I have to be 100% honest, I was told yesterday that it was exactly the same cladding and backing, which I believe was the problem. Whether the person who told me is spot on I don't know. No doubt 1000's of tower blocks throughout the uk have used the same. I am sure those in the trade will be able to advice whether there are lots of different options or they use the same materials.

Stop trying to make this political it's pathetic.
That is what May and her cronies are trying to do but im afraid it has everything to do with politics and as we are seeing on the news the public will not let these Tory Cnts from passing the buck.....Not political your having a laugh <doh>

The fire brigade and police are only now beginning their investigations. We shouldn't jump to conclusions etc on what was the primary cause nor who to point the finger at, yet.

Building regulations come from central government in England and Wales. Moreover, the day to day role of the fire service is to go into public and private buildings that are considered high risk to carry out fire safety inspections. This is where austerity measures play a role into what went on. Coupled with the lack of funds local councils have to ensure that buildings have at least basic safety measures (fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinkles and fireproof doors)

The main issue with most people is that austerity effects us all whether it's terrorism, fire safety or policing matters. Unfortunately the people who need the most attention are the ones being neglected.

I don't know why someone else's opinion bothers you so much? Opinions are just, opinions. A lot of people on here have different opinions to myself but I don't get mad or hate them because that's life.
I respect everyone's opinion, what pisees me off is the constant bashing on about blame. It's a terrible tragedy that should never happen in this day and age, it's s vibrant political point scoring here. Blame May for the worlds troubles, no blame so far at on Kahn, you could blame Boris hell go far back as Livingston they have a part to play in this.

There are different opinions but when you sub contract to private firms they will go to the minimum standard to cut costs and maximise profits.

This is taken from the Tory paper, The Evening Standard,

Fury over claims fire-resistant cladding for Grenfell Tower would have cost just £5,000
“So many lives have been lost and it's for what - £2? We are talking about so many people dying for just £2 - it's shameful."
