That's brilliant! Considering how much it's been advertised, you would have thought people would know how to spell it!
Errrrrr, do you mean he might get one of those tattoo's just to prove how committed he is????? ILD OTBC
Just tuned into the GB warm-up football against Brazil. I'm getting annoyed, perhaps irrationally, about Great Britain being called 'Team GB' by the commentator. I feel this is rather odd because I am yet to hear 'Team Brazil' just 'Brazil.'
This thread just about sums up the amount of interest in the event. One discussion over a miss-spelt tattoo.
I'm with you there CT, I can't wait for the closing ceremony so TV schedules can get back to normal, but it's a couple of weeks every four years, so it's not too much hassle to allow some enjoyment for those who do enjoy it, no matter how difficult that is to understand!
Could be something to do with the £9,000,000,000 too. £150 for everyone in GB.If it had been by voluntary subscription I wonder how many would have stumped up?
Indeed. Imagine how many more beneficial uses that money could have been put towards. And all this talk of "the regeneration of one of East London's poorest boroughs" is tripe/garbage/bullshit. It makes my blood boil more every time I hear it. Would they give a toss about Stratford and/or Hackney if the eyes of the world weren't on them? Easy one to answer, really. <rollonclosingceremony emoticonasap>
I think the main problem I have with it is the way it has turned into a showcase for the "Great and The Good" These people are more than capable of paying their own way in the world but, like the bankers they insist on riding on the backs of those worse off than themselves. If The Olympics was just some sports enthusiasts running round a field I would have no problem with it.All this razzamatazz however is for the glory of little s***s like Coe and his pals.
First day of woman's football and we've already f----- up! Apparently S Korea's flag was displayed instead of N Korea's flag just before their match and they walked off offended!
