Ah, forgot about him. Playing in the championship now though I want more like Henderson & Colback, capable of playing in the prem Suppose if we did go down we'd see a lot more academy players breaking through
It seems that almost every season we are releasing most of the younguns. You'd think we had the ability to bring through at least one every other year.
That may well be mate but imo the buck stops with KB. Either the imput is not up to standard or, it is up to standard but not made the most of? Not good enough either way for me like.
Yep, especially frustrating because we hear the likes of Laing and Egan are good enough to some day play for the first team. Like you say one player every other year should be easily achievable, but the last player to come through was Colback and he made his debut 4 years ago. Since then no one has played regularly from the academy. That's not good enough Think this is a problem Gus has highlighted so hopefully we'll see some changes with regards to that next season
Could it just be that the risk is greater than the reward, don't think anyone can say that we have had a comfortable mid table season since we came up, we have mostly been looking over our shoulders or looking up at others. And if you are a young player, been touted as a first team player, but never get a sniff of the first team, why would you want to stay.
