does anyone know the full SP on the Remy situation? are we selling him,are we keeping him? clauses etc? how much can we expect if we do flog him? few Rangers fans i spoke to at Wembley had different views..
I'd love to see him in our hoops next season but I reckon he'll be off to one of the better prem teams for £10m. Harry has already been quoted as saying as much.
if true that would be a shame, quality finisher and him and Charlie pairing up would/could be fantastic..
According to reports Liverpool have already submitted an offer and others will follow, the price appears to be £8 million which is the buy-out clause in his contract... http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/harry-redk...lease-clause-arsenal-liverpool-swirl-1450007? http://www.footballdirectnews.com/p...6-liverpool-submit-bid-for-french-striker.php
conflicting views on the price..i was under the impression that the 8mill clause was only active during his loan period and while we were in the Championship..
A decent striker is going to reasonably cost £10m, so I'd love to keep Remy. But he'd have to want to stay and play. I'm sure we'll sell him and bring in someone new on lower wage.
Unfortunately Harry has said the price is £8 million, that's why the big clubs are falling over themselves to sign him...
possibly, but 8 millon for a proven premiership striker is way too low..im hoping that Fernandes will stick out for 15mill. also if he was available for 8 mill why didnt the geordies snap him up or at least make an offer??
Not sure about Remy. He's a great finisher, which we need. On the other hand he is injured a lot. Don't think we should sell him for £ 8 million unless we are contractually bound too - he is surely worth a lot more in a open market.
It was the only way he'd sign for us, he was virtually certain to go to Toon but that clause was why we nicked him...
If he doesn't want to be here then we're better off without. Spend some of it on Assombalonga at Peterborough.
Do not be daft We do not want him Charlie is our main striker, we need players to complement him Doyle is the sort of player we do need, (but she adds quietly, maybe a bit quicker, faster and have a better goal rate too)
I don't want near the club. He doesn't want to be here. By the look of that claurs in his contract he had no plans of staying. Sell to highest bidder
I don't doubt that but what affordable proven striker is there? I think Redknapp shouldn't be allowed any player over 27 no matter how tempting it would be to give £80k a week to Lampard, Joe Cole or Ferdinand.
The price in the contract is a relegation clause, we are no longer relegated and so there is a legal argument that the clause is no longer valid, I doubt when they wrote out his contract they included anything about us not being able to sell him because he was on bail for rape!! I can see this being dragged through the courts to sort out, if it looks complicated then teams will probably steer clear and we might keep him, or someone may come in with a sensible offer around the £20mill mark that we will take.
I hope you're right with that Supergod but Harry has stated that £8 million is his release price and that's got the sharks circling, you'd expect the manager to know what the price is...
