This could be a good time to play Chelsea. They're swelling with confidence and indigestion. They're stringing the results together. They're happy with their new manager, Torres is back on form at last and they racked up 5 in their European game last night. It's no exaggeration to say that they feel they can finally nail Europe this year. They're preening in front of the long mirror, checking their hem lengths and languidly applying that last touch of mascara. Yes, we look great!, they purr with self-satisfaction. Of course, there is that annoying affair in Lofthouse Rd, is it dear? Can't seem to find it on the SatNav. If they get into top gear they could hit 6 or so, but quite frankly they can't be arsed. The one they're looking forward to is the game against Arsenal, when they can turn them over rightly. So while they're occupied with the big picture and the big dreams, who's to say the upstarts from up the road can't nip in and take legs from under them?
Yes, wouldn't be surprised if I was in need of professional help. Wolves beat Man U and Man C last year, and Blackpool had some great results against quality opponents ( although not so great against the rest) Anyway, they have to lose/draw some games this season; why not this Sunday?
If it is the QPR that played against Fulham and Blackburn, prepare to be embarrassed. I have a brother that is a Chelsea fan, OMG!!! If it is the QPR that played against Newcastle, Wolves and Villa, we could give them a game and come away with a point.
My older (bossy) brother is Chelski, younger is Man U! My 7 year old gives out to me about QPR; "not them again!" if I'm on this forum. Uphill battles all round..
Although….…Being a QPR fan, nothing embarrasses me anymore. We’ve all seen so much dross and been to games where we’ve been spanked on numerous occasions that even if we took a spanking I wouldn’t care as no result would surprise me, just crack on with the banter. Its not like we’re Man U and are used to winning every game so that when they actually do lose all their fans make out it’s the end of the world and go home and sit on the toilet crying themselves to sleep ( A la Arsenal at the start of the season). No matter how bad we have played you always have to see the fun side of it all and just enjoy it as a good day out/afternoon with your mates. Don’t get bogged down in the seriousness of it all
Betting odds strongly support your view. Between 7 and 9 to 1(cough!) for a home win, and 3 to 4 to 1 for a draw. However, that says to me that if the teams meet 8 times, we win one. This could be the one!!!
i hope we've learnt from our last derby match, ok on paper we haven't got a chance buts its 11 v 11 & don't worry about the big names, i will enjoy the game as long a we compete well be fine.
Foolishly i have put £5 on a hoops win & £5 on the draw!! I keep telling myself that the last time i put money on us expecting to lose was Everton away! A fool and his money..........
I think we've just got to give it a go and hopefully play the way we did against Newcastle and Villa in those home matches. Got a feeling we'll go with a very similar line-up to those games to pack out the midfield. You never know, they have an off-day, everything we try comes off, 3-0 easy-peasy... Oh f*ck, I've woken up...
