Fabulous result for the team last night and by all accounts a disciplined performance.

Looking thru the photo gallery on the BCFC website, there were a couple of photos that really struck me as being meaningful - the shots of Ryan McGivern & Stephen Pearson after the goal. The look on their faces is commitment and passion. Certainly not what one might expect from loan players. That's what I want to see from all the lads.

I would like to see both these signed on permanent deals.

Pearson is at least contributing a goal here and there.

We need to find more goals throughout the side, very poor return there!
 
I fear that the media reports of Campbell playing over here for FC Tampa Bay (aka The Rowdies) and making a good little earner are a bit off the mark. They play in the NASL which is a notch down from the MLS and the standard is relatively poor - probably somewhere between League 2 and the Conference. FC Tampa play in an old baseball stadium across the bay in St. Petersburg and get absolutely zero media coverage here. I have no idea what the wages are like but the average MLS player gets around $100k to $200,000 per (dollars, not pounds) year so the USL is going to be way less than that. Beckham was definitely the big earner over here!

The good news for Campbell is that Tampa is a great place to live and I'm sure he'll enjoy it here. Quite a few ex-pats in the area and plenty of footy on TV! Oh, and Disney is an hour away!
