Further to Bruce's comments about the loan system and his fairly valid arguement of "where else can you get a £15 million pound striker from for free?", How many Loans would you see as acceptable without creating a similar situation to last season? And, Who do you think would be a good loan choice from the PremierLeague or abroad?
Well it won't be 5. 2-3 max i reckon he will bring in. Ain't gotta clue, which club are gonna let their players go on loan. Everone keeps mentioning Wellbeck, which i doubt will be loaned again. So nah i'm stumped.
welbeck, sturridge or bellamy up front will arrive on loan imo, maybe that chelsea left back who played at the u21s, can't remember his name but begins with a b
Well the Muntari loan took us all by surprise in January so I wouldt expect the unexpected with Brucey. It is a good point though that loans usually happen pretty close the deadline day, Man City will have a few possible interesting loans I think. What about Zirkhov from Chelsea on loan? left back/left winger
2 is about right I reckon for any team - especially if those two will be constantly in the starting 11. I'd be wary of anything else. A team bond and a 'fight for the club' mentality should be formed throughout the season, but it's difficult to form that when some of the players aren't even officially part of that club. It's that 'pull your finger' out moment when times are tough which I think loan players struggle to provide.
Two should be enough, we need to get a regular, and balenced team, a loanee can be called back, and it culd be done at a time, when that player was realy needed by us.
1 from the PL and 2 max from abroad at the start, but only if the 2 have a purchase clause. You are only allowed 2 from the PL so i would rather wait till the 2nd was really needed due to injuries, than get them on year loans and both get crocked.
Zirkhov would be fantastic, Santa Cruz would be good too. I could see a couple of loans with Welbeck top of the list.
2 with maybe a 3rd in the January transfer window if the right player is available to kick us on. Would like to see Welbeck in onloan and maybe a top player from abroad with a view to signing at the end of the season like Muntari was but shame his attitude let him down as the lad has serious ability when he puts his mind to it, maybe his Inter team mate McDonald Mariga.
I would LOVE to see Welbeck back. I don't go with the argument (I saw on here earlier in the week) that we shouldn't develop a young player from another club. For me Welbeck is a special player - either up front, in the hole or out wide. I don't remember us having a more exciting strike force then when we had Welbeck, Bent and Gyan as a three pronged attack. (although of course Quinn and Phillips was special as was Gates and Gabbiadini).
If loans were to happen I would switch it to getting in 2 from the PL to start, think most teams would find it difficcult to get a decent loan signing come January from another prem team. Perhaps look abroad if needed later.
2 max, one striker and one defender. Would have Bellamy on loan and the young left back from chelsea Bertrand
