Looking to get some views on this as I think this is really shabby. First Middlesborough persuade Aston Villa to recall Finn Azaz from Plymouth and loan him out to them. The carrot was a loan to permanent deal which I would bet is dependant on them being promoted. Secondly, Bristol City have done the same with Burnley player Scott Twine who was a regular in the Hull City starting X1. I am sure yiu guys will tell me that this is common practice but I dont remember seeing it before. I think if you loan a player then you have a right to have him for the season unless the host club recall him for their own use. Opinions welcome.
Were these loans full season? Quite a few are just until the winter window opens. I thought full season loans were just that unless injury means the player returns to his home club.
Their player to do as they please IMO. Loans will come with a fee and/or a % of wages covered so perhaps the second club is offering more or the parent club sees them as a closer fit for their style of play or whatever. Doesn’t really matter. This is as long as the contract has a break clause which presumably the first club signed up to. If the agreement is a full season then that’s different.
