Perhaps he was recalled because NB believes he can handle a higher level of football. As one of our 'youths' at 23, you'd bloody hope so.
He hasn't been getting in, so Nicky said that all of our youth players will go out on an initial one month loan and then it can be extended if they play.
If he hasn't been getting in the Plymouth team then there really is no hope. Having said that, Cameron Stewart is a Yeovil reject
he said he wasnt getting a game but is a long way down the pecking order and needs games for his own development. By coincidence, Grimsby need a winger. Hmmmm?

Nick seems to be taking the players' interests into account before immediate short term equivalent of the club, even if the players futute lays somewhere else. Maybe he wants to build his reputation as a manager around that feature. Probably a very good USP in attracting talent for the foreseeable and more importantly keeping them?
I think it is a case of now Barmby is officially manager he is just gathering the troops so to speak. I would imagine he will want to assess all the young players that have been on loan together with the young ones now playing in the reserves. A kind of stock take, sorting out who will get new contracts and who can go etc. I would like to think that all the young ones will get a fair chance with him.
He's hardly a kid though. He's older than Chester, Dudgeon, Brady, Stewart, and Evans, is only 2 months younger than Hobbs, and 7 months younger than Mannone. And that's just looking at the starting XI (or regulars earlier in the season).
He's not good enough to play for us and the fans of the least successful team in the football league are glad to see the back of him, I'd say he was fairly ****ed. I just pray we've got another deal lined up, or we should have left Plymouth to shoulder the costs.
Simon Walton, the ex City legend plays for and captains Plymouth.. maybe that helps explain their league position..
Atkinson hasn't a realistic future at City.. I've seen him play a couple of times and he'd never get in the team nowadays.. in fact Harper would get in before him..
