Sonny Bradley :- The big man at the back has forced his way into the first team plans at Aldershot and while things have not been going their way results while, I am reliably informed by one of the reporters who covers the games that he is well thought of at the Recreation Ground and they are pleased with his progress. Apparently he hasn't played quite as well last season as he did in his previous loan spell, but there is room to suggest he will improve over the season. He didn't look too bad in our first team, so I have big hopes for him. Mark Cullen :- After not scoring during his last spell at Gigg Lane, a few fans were confused when Marky Mark returned to Bury for another loan. He finally got off the mark on Saturday in Kevin Blackwell's first game in charge to rescue a point for the Shakers against Stevenage; with a well timed run and tap in from 4 yards out. Make no mistake, this is a big season for a youngster who promised a lot but has delivered little. League One is a tough act, so let's hope he settles in and reaches double figures, or that part time contract at Ferriby could be beckoning sooner than he'd hoped. Danny East :- Danny actually made a very good start to his Northampton stint, looking comfortable and adventurous in the RB role. His run in the first team saw him make five appearances before he was sent off for a badly timed tackle against Fleetwood Town. The Cobblers haven't won a game since he was suspended, but he made his return and played 55 minutes in the 3-3 draw against Burton Albion. Danny needs to make the most of this experience, because although he has age on his side, if Brucey continues to play this formation, then East will have to add composure and tracking to his game; something which he has yet to demonstrate to manager Aidy Boothroyd. Cameron Stewart :- A surprise departure (or not, depending on how you viewed his last season) from the first team, Cameron apparently jumped at the chance to move to Burnley and closer to his former team mates at Manchester United. He has shown "panache and flair" according to Eddie Howe, but we all know he has that in his locker; it's his end product that sometimes cam into question. Cam has featured in some way in all Burnley's games since he arrived at Turf Moor, including a start against former manager Nigel Pearson at Leicester. A lot was said about his performances after New Year, when the aforementioned manager bid for him (unsuccessfully), but it's clear that he has the talent to become a top footballer. He needs to gain the confidence he had when he first signed for City and if he can find that, there could well be a place for him in Steve Bruce's plans.
Thanks for that it was only yesterday I was wondering how the loanees were getting on. Not much word on cam though, guess he's still playing as **** as he did last season?
Can't believe I missed that Cullen had scored a league goal. What a momentous occasion. I've been checking most games and I was busy after the pboro game on Saturday so I forget to check. I thought it was never going to happen...
