Just had to call the Liverpool office, and spoke to a guy up there who is an Evertonian, He reckons that the club are anxious to give a young Greek lad on their books Apostolos Vellios some game time for, he has been with the club since about Christmas, as far as my mate knows he hasn't started but has looked good on the two or three occasions he has come on. He is about 20 - 21 as far as my mate knows, and has been tearing up trees at reserve team level, Moyes thinks he is ready for a step up and wants him playing at a higher level. Don't know if this is the guy we may be looking at, but apparently he is an attacking wide player, so who knows?

H Bomb, they don't have to include under 21s in the 25. They can use as many under 21s as they like, there is no limit.

Not sure they could get to 8 home grown players with that lot. They may have to sacrifice some of the slots.

Only if the player was under 21 yrs on 1 January this year (I'm starting to confuse myself now)
I updated the above list with the names who are eligible

Everton Squad list

Not sure what the Malky/Moyles relationship is (both Scots is all I know) but will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks... just not another JET please! :)

LOL. Was having a debate around the 25 man squad rule on the Swans board a few days ago. Very convoluted.

Be a nice problem to have next season though.

Given how thin the Everton squad is, I'd have thought they'd need every player they can get.

I thnk JET could have done a job if used in the right way. He could certainly get at players with the ball at his feet. Maybe not a starter, but an impact player.

I know I'me becoming predictable, but whover we get on loan, at least TWO WIDE MEN PLEASE!!!!!!!

i'm with h bomb, loan player at this level are a necessity, but its only worth doing if you can get a cleverly, or frazier campbell, not average joes like drinkwater etc <ok>

You mean Drinkwater, JET, Keogh and below average, Koumas, Bywater, Brown. Didn't do very well in the loan market did we other than Bellers, Rambo (only 6 games, none lost) and 50% of Olifinjana.

The ball is firmly in Malky's court to make it work well this year - quality over quantity please.
