Guys, would just like to know whether you agree or not. Was the fact that you had so many loan signings the reason for you falling at the final hurdle. Yes i know bellamy, got you lots of points. But of the others how many would have died for your shirt. How many just thought, well no matter what happens I'm off back at the end of the season. Would like to know how you feel. personally i feel that was your only downfall last season. This year make these players your own and take 1 or 2 on loan. Then we will see you in the promised land.
Whatever you do is a gamble. It was said that DJ spoke to Tony Pulis who got Stoke into the Prem on the back of loaners who then stayed and built their platform to survive their first season. As usual its pot luck as to whether you get the right ones or not, e.g. Swans - Luke Moore and Biorini - one poor the other great. If Koumas had hit the form of 5/6 years ago, Drinkwater has fulfilled his promise at Man U and Olifinjana had played as well in 75% of games rather than 50% (just) plus Bellamy and Ramsey then it could have been a different season. As for JLS, JET and Bywater, lets not go there. Crap players are crap players no matter who they play for.
in part, yes. too many loan signings. Would have been different if they were young players like Borini trying to prove themselves (and doing a bloody good job) instead of the dregs from the prem league reserves. Don't get me started on Bywater though, what the frigg was DJ thinking?
