Wondering what our best XI would look like with no loanees in it? Assuming we make the play offs would it not be better to play the guys who have PL football to play for and therefore try that bit harder as opposed to the loans who will just slope off back to their parent clubs should we not make it? There's plenty on here that know more about formation and players positions than me so thought I'd see what you think......
The argument could be flipped both ways.... imagine a team with no loanees in.... and with none out. No Ravel Morrison, but Adel Taarabt.... No Modibo Miaga, but Loic Remy.... etc
Can't see the point. Play your best team. There are a few none loan players who will have gone next season, regardless of Prem football or not. Should we not play them as well? Don't see Everton leaving out their loanees whilst pushing for Champions League status. Means nothing to the loanees (apart from maybe a bonus).
Fair comments from you both it just seems that throughout the season it's the loanees ( Morrison aside) who have been the most dissappointing BAE,krancjar, Carroll, maiga, Keane, benayoun have all failed to deliver on much promise or at best been very inconsistent.
If we were resting Charlie we should have started with Morrison & Zamora and we would have nabbed a few goals, so while we toiled at Leicester with Maiga and later SWP........ Saturday, April 19, 2014 AC Milan have cruised to a 3-0 home victory against Livorno in Serie A this afternoon, thanks to goals from Mario Balotelli, Adel Taarabt and Giampaolo Pazzini. Milan doubled their advantage not too long into the second half when Taarabt weaved his way between two defenders before slotting past a helpless Bardi. The loans have been worse than what we had for various reasons Taarabt > Morrison Philips > benayoun Faurlin > Carroll Tea lady > Maiga Club shop manager > Keane Remy > Doyle Yun > BAE I can't think of anyone to compare kranky to. Loans should only be used to bring in clear 1st team players, not to fill out a squad.
We've been very fortunate though to have Morrison available to us to pick up the slack of missing a creative goal scoring midfield player like Taarabt? With Taarabt I wonder if the loan deal is between us and AC Milan, or are Fulham doing a sub-let?
Morrison has been good but taarabt got 19 goals and 23 assists in this league which is almost one a game while Morrison hasn't dominated like taarabt did. In fact he's the only clear first choice player we bought in.
