A bit of sweeping statement there Emilio, I think you'll find the vast majority of us never hated either Hobbs or Pearson. There is one Pearson hater on our board, though he believes that Phil Brown is a the messiah and all others who take his place should be immediately executed(he's also a grade one cock). There were more Hobbs detractors, but they've gradually been silenced now too. St Ledger wouldn't get anywhere near our starting XI.
Certainly I think St Ledger has the talent. I think with him it's about getting his head right. He was good for Preston under Davies and Irvine when they nearly got promotion and did well for 'Boro under Southgate but the move collapsed when Strachan got the job and his club career went down the pan. However, in all that time he's been a rock for Ireland under Trappatoni so it must be something about his mental state and the fact that certain managers seem to bring out the best in him (which would be a steady Championship defender) whereas others seem to bring out the worst. He was good the last time he played vs Cardiff and now he has the chance he's been waiting for to show he's worthy of a place in the team. Its now up to him to take it.
