Nothing wrong in wanting to emulate and excede......its good to hear things like this from a player.

 

Mick has certainly created a lot of positivity in the dressing room!

 

your current team is light years behind burley's of the late 90s, early 00s. no offence, but it is pretty obvious! that was a superb team.

how's loach getting on anyway? improved since joining you? bit surprised you haven't got henderson back in sticks.

 

It's good to hear positivity but is he really that confident to say our present team will be able to acheive higher than 5th in the PL!! I think we have a squad with Mick McCarthy as manager who could (with rose tinted glasses) get into the PL but once we're there can't see anything other than a constant scrap against relegation.

Loach is ok, nothing special, I would prefer us to get a new GK in but he's not that bad that we're in urgent need to replace him. Particularly as Mick has got us well organised at the back it's not a priority position, would prefer to see other areas strengthened first.
