"We lacked a bit of zip to our play". Been lacking that since he took over, like watching cart horses.
He won't stand down as their is no money in it for him and SL won't sack him as is too stubborn to admit it was a mistake hiring him in the first place and and an even more cretinous decision to give him an unnecessary and unwarranted extension to his contract. Only reason we stayed up last year was because we had teams far worse than us luckily.
And we had 3 teams that were far worse than us and who were a very long way behind us when this losing streak started. But if you look at the table now, Wigan and Blackburn are right there with us. That's the measure of how poor our results have been. We also still have to play both of those teams away.
As said the teams below are getting points at a better rate than us,only a matter of time before we swap places.
He's technically right - for now - but we are headed there fast at this rate. Every time we kick off now, I hope and pray that this time it will be the time we turn the corner - indeed, a couple of wins would lift us from the mire - and the other teams around us are frankly awful, so we should be well clear. Trouble is, we're not, and every time we lose, our confidence takes another knock, making it even less likely we'll win the next game. Its a rot which sets in easily but is VERY difficult to turn around. That's why I believe we should relieve LJ of his duties - I said after Cardiff, but that didn't happen, so probably after the Burnley game now because that is a game we are expected to lose and a new manager wouldn't want to start with a no-win game. I don't actually agree bcfcrob that we should wait until another manager surfaces to take over. LJ should go ASAP and Pemberton should take charge until a permanent replacement is found.
if you wish for JP to take over then there is no reason why JP should not be given the status" first team manager " and Lee gets to remain first team coach ... SHOULD LEE NOT LIKE THAT IDEA THEN HE COULD LEAVE . this would then mean no compensation .. surely a persons "job duties" can be changed by the employer .. he hasn't been employed for long enough to go to the employment tribunal
We could be in the bottom 3 next Wednesday, how many more games do we have to lose before something happens, I mean losing 11 out of 12 is ridiculous
We have to be the laughing stock of the football world, how can a man be still in the job with his record, not too mention the money he has had to spend on players.
