Leaving your war-ravaged land Aged fifteen amid such turmoil, Is hard for us to understand With roots buried in stable soil, But such was the journey he made Not knowÃng just how it would end, Kamara K who has just played Football of the Premier League blend, And such hardships that he´s been through Can maketh or breaketh the man, But one thing that surely is true He´ll not forget where he began, And I think the joy that we´ve seen In the short while that he´s been here, Only proves how much of a dream It is, from those tough early years, As pictures of Sierra Leone At war must still prey on his mind, Despite having found a new home Where life is much less of a grind, So I wish him every success He of the heart-shaped salute, He really deserves nothing less The newest of our new recruits, And one record now in his drawer Hammered in with panache and flair, The first from his country to score In the rarified Premier League air, So now with Old Trafford in sight Should he burst the net once again, His dreamÃng may reach greater heights Than even he dared hope, back then. OTBC In the words of Lennon and Yoko Ono (and I guarantee, also Kei Kamara) `Make love not war`
RBF, that is fantastic, would you mind if I posted a link to him on twitter? I'll not do it without your permission, but I'm sure he would love it!
Would be great to see his national flag in the Barclay come on chaps you did it for the king of Spain
To the faceless 1 wonder, would be quite interested to know what you apparently find so unappealing with this that it deserves so low a rating. Wish some people would judge what is written, rather than how it is written, surely no-one can disagree with the sentiments expressed above.
Beautiful RBF Didn't even notice the star thingy. Have stumbled my way to it and hit 5 stars to help hoist this to where it belongs.
Could well be, Dave. I guess the rating thing is good in principal, but it never really works. If you don't like something, show yourself and say so! Edit: ... and of course, likewise if you do.
I have to admit, like you, until it was brought to my attention, I hadn't spotted it, it's far less in your face than on the Beeb!
Totally agree gandy, I´m absolutely with you on that, I can hardly imagine that any of us write on here just to be awarded with stars, it´s very nice if it happens, but it´s certainly not the driving force.
