Quite like the look of it, It's a 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2. Personally think this is something we can play, We would need another striker and CB in for it to work but apparently a CB will be brought in this week, Until its certain though Moloney could do a job as a back 3. Bulking the midfield out and having ball winners in there then pressure will be took off the defence. Something along the lines of....

    Parish
    Moloney Flint Williams
    Pack Reid JET Elliott Bryan
    Harewood Baldock

...With JET obviously playing the furthest up of the 5, Would prefer another Baldock type player instead of Harewood as I just don't think he will offer a lot, Good at holding the ball up but other than that, Little effect. Bench would look pretty strong too. Fielding, Shorey, Cunningham, Wagstaff, Wynter, McLaughlin, Taylor.

I really don't know how city are suppose to get that first league win because we are doing everything right but winning. So a new formation and perhaps 2 new loan signings (if SOD knows them that is)

Need ball playing defenders in a 352, we don't have the players for that.

Pack isn't a winger/ Wing fullback, Maloney couldn't play RCB, JETS not a centre midfielder

Maybe if we get a new CB, swap him with Maloney, put Maloney WB and put Pack in the middle replacing either JET or Elliot it may look a bit balanced

Sakho and Skretl certainly aren't ball playing defenders and it worked for Liverpool. Pack wouldn't play as a winger. I said JET would play further up, Basically what he does now. Moloney can and has played RCB. He is 6ft 2 remember and again I did say we needed a new CB. I read so many comments yesterday about Elliott and how he needs to play. It seems the few on here, Well I say few its actually just you and ROD that criticise Elliott are part of a very small group that doesn't rate him. He keeps the team ticking over and breaks up play, Gets himself around the pitch more than any other player and is a threat in both boxes.

I agree with the formation but I would play JET out wide to create a link between midfield and the front, because at the moment there don't seem to be any.

This is where Ipswich and Cardiff went wrong though ROD. JET, Will never run around for 90 minutes, Putting tackles in but he plays that job behind the striker well, Goes past players with ease, Hell of a shot and is our best player.

Yes but at the moment we are trying to build around him, and it ain't working! We are not winning games in this league you want blood and guts for 90 minutes.

Seen loads of people on OTIB agree with mine and RODS opinion of Elliot, works hard, can tackle but looks like bambi on ice with ball at his feet, and I've said before he has more positives than negatives

And I normally comment about Elliot on most topics because for some reason RedPrintt and yourself think he's the second coming of Christ, and it's fairly easy to get a bite <whistle>

But regarding the topic, you need the right players for 352, we don't have those players.

And your saying it worked for Liverpool, completely different level of football, with players worth £20m+, you can't really compare it

Im not comparing the players mate im comparing the formation, I know we don't have all the players but we have a good amount to play it, 2 Maybe 3 signings off.

Also, I'm pretty sure we played 352 at swindle, they played 3 up front and their movement caused problems to our defence all game, we had no protection from wing backs and Midfielders so we struggled big time.

and played well lan. Got caught out on a throw in and a set piece, Other than that it was a solid game, If we are having patience with the players then we need it for a formation. We tend to be changing formations and the starting XI every game.

Liverpool's formation is fluid as both Sturridge and Suarez drop back into midfield as well.

Sturridge's pace gives a threat in behind which gives space for others to play (as the defence drops off) - that's made a massive difference to Liverpool

As for tactics/formations - they all get it wrong sometimes - Rodgers played 4 CB's against Southampton and paid a heavy price

comments from Lpool were that "these 2 (SUAREZ STURRIDGE )will cause a lot of problems " WHY? because they know where to put the ball......IN THE NET

we had 23/7 shots and scored 1
    wolves 11/6 scored 2
    MKdons 14/5 scored 4

    Lpool 15 /6 shots scored 3
    Tottenham 12/4 scored 1

do we waste to much effort on shooting at the goal? I added 3 random teams to City v Lpool efforts
we doubled Wolves shots at target, 23 AGAINST 11 but only had 1 more ON TARGET, AND SCORED A GOAL LESS a goal for every 3 or 4 shots seems fair conversion rate...........

We certainly do play more possessive football but now need a striker that can put the ball in the net...this season we have had more possession than all our opposition but only got 5 points
