I guess by January he will have been linked to most clubs, is this just more paper talk or have you heard Liverpool are interested? Liverpool will attempt to lure Man City striker to Anfield in January as Kenny Dalglish looks to add more options to his faltering attack. The Merseyside club has struggled to break down sides this season and the Scot will make inquires about the possibility of loaning the Argentine ahead of a possible move in to sign the 27 year old permanently in the summer. Thus far this season Liverpool have managed 14 goals in 11 Premier League games and have struggled to convert chances on a regular basis and Dalglish is now hopeful of bringing in Tevez to aid the club’s push for a place back in the top four. Roberto Mancini has eased his attitude towards Tevez in the past week, stating that the former West Ham and Man United man has a future at the club but the Italian is still keen to offload the striker after a series of bust ups culminating in the infamous incident in Munich when the striker seemingly refused to come on as a sub whilst on Champions League duty. A number of sides are said to be interested in signing the Man City man who has netted an impressive 52 goals in 83 appearances since his move to the club in July 2009. There have been reports that the Premier League leaders are hoping to land at least £30m from the sale of the striker but Liverpool’s offer will apparently be to take the Buenos Aires born marksman on loan until the summer before making a significant bid if his temporary move is a success. Tevez’s agent Kia Joorabchian has stated that his client is settled in England and would consider offers from Premier League sides and this may well have led to Liverpool’s reported interest. Though Liverpool invested almost £60m on strike pairing Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll in January it seems that Kenny Dalglish is not happy with the way the duo is performing. Uruguayan international Suarez has been put in consistent performances of a high standard since he joined the club from Ajax, notching up 11 goals in 25 appearances as well as another 11 assists. Indeed the 24 year old has appeared more effective when not alongside England international Carroll who has been hit and miss since his £35m move from Newcastle United.
If you are going to cut and paste then it is only courtesy (let alone a legal requirement) to identify the source. I disagree with some of the article. In particular "The Merseyside club has struggled to break down sides this season.". Just consult the stats. As for Tevez, that will be up to our management. Personally I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. The man may be a good footballer but he appears to be poisen.
His family are based in England now so there will be no family issues... i'd take him as he is a decent player but i doubt he'd ever become a fan favoruite a la Suarez as we're a cautious bunch
I'd take him from January to May on loan, but that's it. Wouldn't want him on a permanent move. He's similar to Adebayor really; good for a few months, and then just causes trouble. So a half-season loan would be preferable.
I'm not sure the problem we have is actually in the personnel. I think its just them still get to know each other, learning each others games inside and learning that Andy Carroll actual has one of the most powerful left feet I have ever seen, so he just need long balls to his head all the time. (I think Carroll was just unlucky not to score yesterday. The whole thing happened to quickly and earlier for it to be worth dwelling on). But any way, adding another striker will just disrupt the gelling process. Especially if they are temporary. Carroll and Suarez are actually starting to gel nicely now.
I'll think you find it does. Although, saying that, I think if I was getting paid 200k per week, I'd open my own ****ing restaurant if I was that bloody bothered. Or, maybe I'd go for a drive somewhere in one of my 27 cars.
Does it count as 'eating in' if you sit next to the building in your car and eat it? Tevez won't eat burgers anyway. Just spiders and small children.
I know he's a dick but for me that's not enough of a reason for us not to get him. He's such a talented striker, he really is. Him and Suarez up front would be one of the best strike partnerships in the league.
If Tevez went to Liverpool, he would be adored by the fans. He scores alot of goals, and he works his socks off. He may have his issues, and he may have played for 2 big rivals of yours, but you fans would very quickly forget that once he started scoring goals. Tevez is a great player, and he is better than any player you currently have, so he would be a great addition to your side, and could be the player, that gets you back on track for a top 4 position, as at the moment, your struggling
To be honest it would be one of the best in the world - If not the best. BUT - wheres the pride gone? **** Tevez, no way do I want him wearing the famous red jersey. If he does end up coming then for me it just shows how far football has fallen in recent years.
This is why I would only want him for half a season. He'd be out to prove a point to Mancini/manufacture a summer move, so he'd probably be on fire for a bit. Then we can say thank you and part ways.
Is this the same Tevez who wants to move closer to home? How much closer to Argentina is Liverpool compared to Manchester?
