According to the Mirror Liverpool want Jeff Schlupp. We should ring them up in the morning and say we want 10M or piss off. Cant see Stoke wanting him as he isnt 6ft tall and isnt suited at hoofball. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tra...-Schlupp-of-Leicester-City-article805027.html
£10m - the guy's got 20 years ahead of him! I'd want £25m min. If that's too high, fine, we'll keep him.
..or do what Sven is doing and offer him a new improved contract, we don't need the money, and he'll be featuring more and more as the season goes on, a great player in the making, and a good option to bring on when defenses are tired.. or £30 mill of course....
could go either way really. if he goes on to lead the line, £10m is poor for a man with s many years ahead of him. if he flops, its big cash injection. personally, id like to keep.
Sorry to bring Maynard back in! But, Could this go the same way as Torres/Carroll deal? Newcastle priced Carroll at 35m to scare of the scousers but they agreed to pay this when Chelsea agreed to pay 50m for Torres! Obviously nowhere near that scale but, could it happen?
It depends just how highly Sven rates Schlupp, if he thinks he is going to be the next big thing we should either keep him and stick a stupidly high price tag on his head.
Personally if Liverpool offer £8M+ I'd bite their hand off. Good against lower league, indifferent against this league so if Liverpool carry on their stupid spending then lets cash in and get another Premier League class player for the money.
TBF you could say the same about Beckford so far. I say we keep bringing him on as a sub and I think he'll start to have more of an impact within the next few months. On a similar note, Sven needs to start making subs 10 minutes earlier than he is. I would like to see Schlupp fulfill some promise here.
Schlupp would be very very stupid to go to any other club right now especially a team like Liverpool. He´s breaking though bit by bit at Leicester so if he went to LFC he´d have no chance & he´d get loaned out to a no where club. He´s much better off staying at LCFC for a couple of seasons, he´s got a future here.
A player with a bright future ahead no doubt. I'd probably take £10 million for him but I think we could probably squeeze more out of Liverpool. I think a lot would be down to the player as well. I think Liverpool could be a big attraction for him and if he wants to leave, I think it would be wrong to stand in his way. Mind you, this story might not even be true. Firstly, it's the Mirror. Secondly, it reckons Wellens is our captain. Also, Jeff's spoken about it on Twitter: jeffers92 jeffrey schlupp "@LCFC91: @jeffers92 have you seen this. mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/… Rubbish i hope" the 1st ive heard from it mate LOL
