Good afternoon,

I'm hoping to gather the perspective of Stoke City fans, ahead of next weeks opening fixture, for an as yet unnamed LFC-related blog that I'm contributing to - the first in a series of Q&A pieces to preview each match of the season. I'd be grateful if anyone would be happy to offer responses to the following questions:

- Tony Pulis’ departure, after seven years at the helm, follows a relatively stable period of top-flight football – do you feel that it was the right time to make a change?

- Mark Hughes has been appointed new manager, then – how did that compare to your aspirations and expectations, and how to you expect his impact to play out?

- Your team embarked on a tour of the United States during pre-season – how’s the build-up been overall?

- It looks like you’ve had a bit of a clear out of what outsiders may perceive as ‘deadwood’, with a small number of younger players coming in – how do you feel about your summer’s transfer activity and is there anything you can tell us about those new arrivals?

- So, bringing together Hughes’ appointment, your pre-season, and the assembled squad, what are your hopes and expectations for the coming season?

- Are there any stories bubbling away under the surface at the Britannia – things the national media may have overlooked?

- Turning attention towards Saturday, now – how do you hope/expect your side to approach the game and would you care to offer a prediction?

Best of luck for the season ahead and thanks in advance to any choosing to get involved - I'll be sure to post up the final article ahead of next weekends tie.

I actually think we are going to win. Listening to how Liverpool are going on against Celtic it does not sound good for you at the mo. I think Hughes will fire the lads up for this one and we will get a result!

Jesus, nothing like getting other people to write your blog for ya!

It's not mine and nor would it be the sole article produced. I just rather hoped to involve alternative voices to our own ahead of a matchdays - it seems like natural match-preparation.
