I've decided to get the ball rolling before Chris writes up the official match thread for the game against Manchester United on Sunday, for predictions etc. This is going to be a massive game with a massive atmosphere, even moreso after the developments of the past week. What us Liverpool fans need is a performance to match. Its not going to be easy against a very good side, but if we can perform to our maximum, we are well capable of handing out a thumping. Like derby games, form has a tendency to go out the window in these games, which in itself is a good thing in our case, as we've only picked up 2 points from 12, whereas Manchester United have won 3 of the first four, their defeat came against Everton. Should they perform as poorly as they did on their last visit to Merseyside, we do have a chance of inflicting a painful beating on them. The game could also mark a meeting for the first time since February of Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra, thats if Evra plays which isn't certain. Evra was dropped against Wigan due to his poor performances in the first three games. Luis Suarez has been instructed by Liverpool to shake Evra's hand, if the two come face to face during the pre-match ritual. In my opinion this pre-match ritual should be dropped. One of the reasons is its going to cause a debate every time a player has an issue with John Terry, as he's got more enemies than El Hadji Diouf. What we also do not need to hear is disgusting tragedy mocking from the stands, if one side starts and the other side responds in the same manner, neither side can take the moral high-ground. Neither side should partake in it. Even if its a a small minority on both sides. The stewards on either side should be notified if anyone is caught making such chants. The chanting on Saturday from an idiotic few in the Stretford End was just not on. Lets get the predictions in and have some banter. And lets hope for a good game.

United should win this but its Liverpools cup final and will be without doubt their best performance of the season. However Liverpools best is hardly worthy of the word 'best' right now. If RVP plays United win. That simple

Doubt Young will play, Welbeck may come off the bench, but my guess RVP will start with Kagawa up top. Last year after Young started diving left and right, SAF stuck him on the bench for the next couple of games. Wouldn't be surprised to see Welbeck lose his place to Chicharito.

Will Suarez be dropped after his cheating antics? Or are Liverpool a club that encourages diving by rewarding their divers with a starting place. As Mano pointed out, we dropped Young and will likely do the same with Welbeck.
I'm not sure starting this thread 6 days before the game is going to do much for SKD's anger management issues or his blood pressure. I'd recommend a course of propranolol.
