    This is the big one. We’ve deliberately thrown the league to concentrate on the glorious FA cup!

    Saturday 7th @ Anfield

    Not only a chance to progress but also a chance to scout out new CM that is now our apparent number 1 target for the summer in Matheus Nunes

    From Bellingham to Nunes....

    A player we decided against in the summer and has hardly been pulling up trees with Wolves.
    A sign of what to expect when we don't finish top4.

    Plenty of teams don’t get into the CL each year and still sign very good players.

    Klopp always says if someone doesn’t want to join the club cos not in the CL for one year then not the player we want. We want players to join and see the long term vision.

    team ideas:

    we've put 3 games into ox now. Will klopp move him to right.midfield where he always wanted him to start gakpo? Will klopp see this as a quick fix?

    will klopp give keita a start? he came on and injected urgency v Brentford.

    will gakpo start?

    will carvalho get a second of game time?

    will gomez start so we can dump this cup?

    will kelleher get any time? last year fa Cup was big al's.

    will ramsay get a start?


    does anyone care?

    Would be good to see Doak start. Kids got potential and will at least make runs in behind and bring some energy.

    Will lose a bit defensively from him but worth the risk against a wolves team that will prob have a few changes

    yeah I think he will play, good call. we will keep him for 3rd and 4th round if we are in it and then loan him for Feb to May.

    VVD has hamstring problems, that was six weeks out in old money . Maybe he needs a rest, not looking a shadow of the player he was. Oaf Pickford should be proud

    Anyway.....

    This game is impossible to predict.

    It's at anfield so wolves should not want a heavy beating so should so strong.

    But wolves shouldn't want a cup run as 17th should be everything to them.

    Yet...klopp could literally do anything and lfc shouldn't want a cup run cos 4th is everything.

    Until we see the lineups I reckon this one could literally go anyway.

    No result would surprise me this season against any team. Dag and Red could even stuff us, but we're capable of beating good teams on occasion.

    Carvalho
    Gakpo
    Doak
    Bajcetic
    and Phillips all start
    after that who knows .

    Oh and Nunez is rested as he looked absolutely knackered against Brentford

    I'd quit elite to see that forward 3.

    stick ox at rcm and see if that improves anything. that'd be 5 games in a row started.

    Gomez wouldn't have thought so ,as with VVD out can't see us risking 2 of the first team CB's , but can't see who else there is tbf

    is he? I thought he was in training?

    as for gomez? Well he's not played so I'm assuming klopp would want his reserve 2 in Phillips and gomez to have a game to be sharp enough but look so poor that matip and konate have to play
