I would stick there konate or gomez? maybe 60mins Robertson or Beck? if not now for Beck why recall. Eliott again? he looked tired. maybe 60mins then szobo? macca again? gravenberch at cm? Jones? Clark to start? lcm jota to start? Gordon? gakpo again? given the injuries there's still lots of options.
Given the quick turnaround for chelsea midweek then arsenal following weekend assume will be give as many of them a break as possible so can go play 180 mins in those games if needed. don’t expect to see vvd gomez or mac in this game. TAA szobo and Robbo maybe a brief run out to get some matches into their legs.
Busy time but we need to get jobs done, there has to be a balance and hopefully the opportunity to rest player in games once they are won.
main thing is no replay. we have the two huge leavue games in short order but after that it's one a week til the cup final. I think we will mix it up here but also use some seniors and give players time. robbo needs 30mins or so. Beck deserves a run. midfield is quite hard to call to mind Jones and slobo and macca. I'd start quansah, gakpo, Beck, Bradley, konate, alisson, Elliott but the 4 remaining names is anyone's guess.
I think most of us will agree that Gomez has been fantastic filling it at LB. Question is, as he done enough to give Robbo a fight for the starting position?
no. both full backs cannot invert unless two wingers stay wide. so the second trent is back in so is robbo/Greek. gomez will be 3rd cb/2nd rb and quansah and Bradley will wait their turns. the positive is a decent last 16 draw in europa means there's games for them all. it's a pity boro couldn't make Chelsea crap out as well so a kid or two could play then.
