The CL results however went our way and enabled us to rest some players in 2nd half with the added advantage of getting some minutes and goals for the bench . I would guess our 11 will be the normal one bar Milner at RB and then Jones or Keita at LB . Injuries are Thiago , Elliott and from what has been said TAA . PL 4-2-0 CL 2-0-0 LC 1-0-0
So what do we do with milner and gomez. Do you go for.milner, better going forward but really slow or go for gomez who will foul everyone but be fast defensively. You have to feel we need to win this one so this decision will be crucial. For me knowing all city will do is cut in I'd start milner and make sure we dont give cheap frees and bring on gomez and just tell him to bundle them over wide and high (he will pile in anyway)
Would inagine go for Milner experience especially after his performance v palace and Zaha. Think will be same 11 with possibly firmino in for jota.
Gutted I'll miss this one. City look a bit leggy to me, I think they are there for the taking. Don't see LFC (or CFC) winning the title if City somehow get a win at Anfield.
Wouldn't mind that. Especially from a defensive point of view in that generally city will play Grealish on the left who likes to cut in so will be cutting it onto Tsimikas stronger foot. I remember Rafa did it when he played arbeloa at LB against Barca to mark messi
It'd be interesting, but I doubt Klopp would be inclined to do something so experimental without trying it out elsewhere. Grealish will fall over at every opportunity so I'm expecting to see Milner there to leave a bit on him early doors, and hopefully get away with murder like he usually does.
