Grav got a good rest and quite a few only played a few minutes. Gapko will be disappointed not to start at the weekend. Brighton will be stronger….so must we.

Yeah a totally different level amd the result last night has zero bearing on it.

    Kelleher
    Madrid wannabee konate vvd tsimikas
    Graveyboat macca
    Salah slob gakpo
    Dimbulb

One thing is for sure. We will need to move the ball quick and beat their press

CHRIS SUTTON HAS GONE FOR HOME WIN.

    Anfield, 15:00

I am at Anfield with Ian Dennis on Saturday to cover this game for BBC Radio 5 Live, and I am looking forward to it.

It has not been a great week for Brighton, who threw victory away against Wolves last weekend, conceding a 93rd minute equaliser, then lost at home to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Going to Anfield will be even harder for them. Liverpool dropped points against Arsenal in their last league game, but I can’t see that happening here - Brighton will cause them problems but they can't afford to slip up, and they won't.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Brad 's prediction: No messing about here! 3-0

Brad on the Anfield effect: It does seem to lift the team’s performance when we are at home - there’s a reason we are renowned for doing that. When I go to home games, it sometimes feels like a whole different team is playing compared to what they are like away. That’s the Anfield effect, and even the stadium itself is like a beacon in our city.

JONES KNOWS BEST HAS GONE FOR HOME WIN TOO.

Liverpool vs Brighton, Saturday 3pm - PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!
Brighton's defence has looked very shaky of late, conceding two or more goals in five of their last six games, and Liverpool are expected to find routes to goal at Anfield. Things are becoming more open defensively than Fabian Hurzeler would like as their expected goals against numbers are now just the 13th best in the Premier League (13.86) after what was a very impressive start to the season.

Play Video - Glorious Gakpo! Liverpool win thriller at Brighton
Highlights of the Carabao Cup fourth-round match between Brighton and Liverpool.
A way to boost the Liverpool win price from 4/11 to a more backable one is to add Cody Gakpo to score into the mix to get that price to 7/4 with Sky Bet.

He ran Brighton ragged on Tuesday night off the left flank, cutting in with devastating effect to score two goals. Arne Slot took him off with 20 minutes to go, obviously resting his legs to unleash him again at Anfield. He can hurt Brighton again.

    SCORE PREDICTION: 3-1

Nothing against Diaz but I'm glad Gakpo keeps his place.

Gakpo is probably the player in form out of the two. Diaz started the season well but has less influence on games recently.
