It seems like Liverpool are trying to recreate the Chelsea back room team under Jose first Steve Clarke and now Rodgers and Driscoll.

I guess it's flattering that they want to try and be us of a few years ago_Of course, without Jose it's doomed to fail.

If we don't sign RDM, Rodgers and Clarkie would be absolutely the perfect choice for us !!!!!! Liverpool will be right back in business now, mores the pity.
Meanwhile we're still farting around chasing "big names" while the destroyer of Liverpool, Napoli, Barca and Bayern sits and twiddles his thumbs. The bog mindles.

Hmm not a fan of Rodgers. He was just sitting on the team Martinez built at Swansea. I reckon he'll flop tbh, even though I don't want him to.

    Give it a rest.
Clarke has done such a great job that Liverpool just had their worst season for 50 years and the 2 seasons he's been over seeing their defense have been the worst they've had in the last 7 years.

Our defence was one of the best in the league last year and up until Christmas when we started getting injuries was the best defence in the league. Clarke has done his job well. It was our ****e attack that let us down last season

Yes it was but if you look at what I said it was that it wasn't as good as it has been in the last 7 years. That is true so regardless of how good they were they have been better.

Of course not, but our team in the last 7 years has gone from being CL winners and two times CL finalists and title challengers to top-half mediocrity, so for our defence to still be of similar calibre to our team of old is quite some feat by Clarke, the same cannot be said for the rest of our set-up.

I feel really sorry for Swansea. They were in League 2 in 2004/2005, got promoted in their last game in their old ground and built up a strong team and against the odds got promoted to the Premier League. And now they've had their manager poached by the bin dippers.

Swansea were the better team and much more pleasing to watch last season beating City and the scousers and yet Rogers decides to leave.

You forget the small matter that Hodgson and Dalgliesh were in charge. It's pretty rare for someone to lose all their talent because of where they live.
Anyway, time will tell, but I think Rodgers and Clarke will be very successful.

Brendan Rodgers has made steady progess in the managerial department these last few years, without much cash to splash about! He cant be blamed for being ambitious, and so when the offer was made jumped at the chance! What puzzles me is the local hero King Kenny, who had been there and done it, failed badly and unceremoniously ditched is to be replaced by someone with lesser credentials! Much as I like Brendan, I would have had my reservations about him coming to replace Robbie.
