Speculation in some quarters of the Press that Liverpool have an agreement with Ndidi in place for a summer move ...

Personally I think it's a load of bovine excrement - if they do, we sue their arses off because it's an illegal approach  ... if they don't then hopefully our owners will adopt their usual stance ... and given that Liverpool paid £75 million for a Dutch centre-half <doh> ... that would be, £200 million to start negotiations ... otherwise :emoticon-0173-middl

Just paper talk, for now. Give it another season though and it will be genuine interest. Ndidi suggests he’s happy with us and the owners ambition so nothing to worry about.

Posted about it on the transfers thread a couple of weeks ago - he is someone that Liverpool would be after so lets milk them for all they are worth if it is true.

The £200M is possibly a bit optimistic but if anything positive came out of the Mahrez January debacle it was our owners setting a marker that we'll not be mugged off by bigger clubs who come calling offering a derisory fee.

I just hope we've learnt no more buy out clauses in players contacts <yikes>

Players like Ndidi are in short supply. Only Matic and Kante come close in the Premier League at the moment. Defensively he was excellent against Chelsea. His distribution is usually pretty sound also. It's only his decision making to shoot from ridiculous situations that currently lets him down. We are tantalisingly close to being a top 6 side, so we definitely can't be losing our better players.

And talking of good performances at the weekend, Albrighton was our standout player yet again. The two disappointments were Iheanacho, who just doesn't show enough effort and desire, and Chilwell who seems to have stopped improving and is now going backwards. It's only his pace that is keeping him in the side ahead of Fuchs. In all other respects he is still streets behind. Mind you, Fuchs is a long time international and far more experienced, so perhaps not so surprising. Iborra was good with the ball but, boy, is he short on pace.

Chilwell distribution and crossing was shocking at the weekend. In that sense Fuchs is much better

If a deals already in place, we can do them for tapping up like they did with VVD.

I'd be surprised if alot of clubs wern't looking at him, lets hope we can distract them by waving Mahrez in their faces <ok>
