http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/winner Surely some sort of a mistake. Do people really think Liverpool are more likely to win the league than United!
Those odds are a joke. Lafferpool 4th favs 6th at best for them. They have no European football, have had easily the easiest start of the top 10 and still they look ****e.
United are still stronger favourites than spurs: what happened to their legendary September 2013 title charge?
Agreed. Despite your delusion they think you're as likely to win the title as the worst Manu side in 20 years.
that would be the bookies delusion chavmeth, no liverpool fan seriously thinks we have a chance. of the title most would be ecstatic to get back into the top 4 alone, me included. i know you wanted some kind of reaction from deluded liverpool fans saying we will win the prem this year so im sorry to disappoint you very strange that the bookies have us at those odds tbh though, strange indeed.
Without Suarez, I don't think Liverpool would be as short as they are but this is (IMO) a weak Premier League so Liverpool winning it is a possibility, albeit a very very small one. With this squad, Liverpool couldn't have dreamt about even coming top four in a Premier League 3 or 4 year ago.
I agree with all of that, a lot has changed in the last year. the weakest pl in a long time and I still will be amazed if we get top4, I know that doesn't fit with the "deluded lpool fan" theme that some fans think we all are, but there ya go
Dippers going into delude overdrive on ja606 saying 1. They will finish ahead of United 2. Sturridge and Suarez will lead them to finally dine at the top table
Just because you're the same odds as ManU doesn't mean you're are any good. It means you're both bad. Baffoon.
Really? http://forums.liverpoolfc.com/threads/347164-When-will-we-win-the-league-again-Sooner-or-later
I don't see why fans of Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea can't be optimistic about their chances. It's a joke of a Premier League this year as far as I'm concerned and whoever wins it will be piss poor by standards of Premier League winners pre-2011. Liverpool have a world class player in Suarez. Arsenal have a world class player in Ozil. Chelsea have three players that are bordering world class. Arsenal have a lot more surrounding quality than Liverpool (as do Chelsea) but Man U have beaten stronger opposition (than them) to the title on at least 5 occasions. Nothing wrong with hoping for the best, we've been in that boat many a time. Many on here called us deluded for believing we could overturn the 3-1 deficit v Napoli and beat Barca + Bayern and look how that turned out, in the end the only straws people had left to clutch were the "parking the bus" jibes aimed at trying to taint our victory.
oh Blimey, now you've resorted to searching the boards for back up, it's kinda sad mate just give it up.
that's a fair post DL, I can't speak for all Liverpool fans (as chavmeth so optimistically pointed out above ) but I would suggest Liverpool fans don't wanna risk sounding "deluded" to be honest lol, but more so because of too many false dawns in recent years to get too excited by our very good start so far, I for one diddnt think we would compete for top4 this season and as I've said many times I will be very surprised if we do get top4 this year. either way it's been an entertaining start of the season and could be one of the most wide open for many years.
Brendan Rodgers came through our junior squads developement over a number of years, and I always dreaded the thought that he would be uplifted and disappear to another club, as I fancied he be the Blues first team coach eventually! Its only the arrival of the special one thats made me feel better about it! Liverpool could not have made a better choice!
a refreshingly honest thing to say I think he has surprised a lot of Liverpool fans including myself with the squads progression so far in a relatively short amount of time, FSG deserve credit also but then again it's not hard to look good after the fiasco that was Hicks and Gillette (the worst a club can get) it's very early days for BR but so far he has been... along with the new owners a breath of fresh air. despite him talking too much sometimes. I still think we will be fortunate to get top4 this year as squad wise we are short compared to yourselves spurs city gooners and utd (yes even utd ) have to just see where everyone is after the January window but yourselves city and surprisingly arsenal seem like the obvious top 3 as utd really do look a bit lost at the moment but that wont last i dont think, Arsenal are bound to pick up injurys and they never seem to cope well if they are key players so the chance is there this year more than any in recent seasons for "outsiders" to break in like DL said. too many beers babbling now
Brendon Rogers is doing a very good job, as shown by the resurgance of Daniel Sturridge. Like CFC, it won't happen in a year, but both teams can now see where they need to strengthen, and who is not fitting in. Have to say Arsenal are looking very good, what a pity we didn't get Ozil !!!!. It is a poor PL this year so far, and Man City, CFC, Le Arse, Utd, Liverpool and Spurs are all in with a top 4 chance in my opinion.
You have some of the most deluded in the world, you yourself may not be deluded but your counterparts are very much so. However, I do think Liverpool have a very good shot at top four and a trophy, they don't have Europa to hold them back this season and two strikers who are currently banging them in. Also agree that Rodgers is a great manager, he may embarass himself at times with his soundbites, but he appears to be creating a great squad at Liverpool and when you compare it to the absolute mess that Rafa/Dalglish left it in it certainly shows.
