I know Stewart Downing is a **** player but he was still one of the best in a dire Liverpool squad. Surely this will hurt Liverpool's hopes of finishing in mid table?

Liverpool are hoping to finish between 10th and 17th, as they see that an improvement

Anything less would go directly against the steady improvments they have been making since Rafa bottled the title race.

    Two of the best Berb.

Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing, £55m worth of talent that Liverpool have allowed to slip through their fingers. Just goes to show that they're now a selling club <ok>

You are surely having a laugh. You must be the only person who values these two at that sort of price...more £5.5m worth? <laugh>

£55 million is what Liverpool paid for them both, £35 million for Carroll and £20 million for Downing.

Price and value. Two different things as the scousers found to their cost. But I would still value these 2 at £5.5m <laugh>

That is why he was a buffoon. Shame that the very scousers who idolised him now cannot forgive him for leaving their club in such dire straits...<ok>

Surely the first sentence in my post should have indicated just how sincere I am?

    Too subtle? ;)
