If our strikers continue to put us out of the misery / reckoning, I would rather Liverpool win it than City - I still don't see Pool going on all the way, but still would root for them. Some of you might be surprised! Here are my reasons. # As a thanks to - Scouse's 'Cockneys for a day' banner / support we got at Anfield & Stevie's through ball to Drog to get us the title under Carlo. # Liverpool will most certainly one and done. Will sell Suarez to Real / Will fade away under Champions league / PL pressure every week - next season. Will not be a serious contender for us in long run. At the same time will deal a huge blow to Manny - who will look stupid if he doesn't win it all with THAT squad. # If City win it - I fear them being the new moanu. They have usurped the 'Official Cheats' title from their noiseless neighbours. Just look at today's ridiculous 5 yarder offside against Soton. City will become a greater threat to us in long run and don't want them to win any more trophies. Bottomline - I will be all for unwrapping 'Scousers for a day' banner at Anfield - thanks to our strikers - in few weeks! what do you blues say?
neither would I. but at the moment, Liverpool winning it won't be a threat to us in the long term. But giving Manny the initiative would be suicidal for us over the next few years!!
can you imagine it every time you tune into any thing football related if liverpool win it? jesus it will be terrible !! captain stevie will probably get knighted, rogers will be hailed as the new messiah, documentaries all over the tv, it will be f**kin horrid!! the only thing to gleam from it will be that people will blame fergie but you do have a point about in the long run
Rodgers as messiah will be hilarious! Pool this year is last season's Spuds make 2 with Suarez instead of Bale! They would be nothing next season, even if they hold on to Suarez - which itself is highly unlikely. But if Manny does the double - I see him the new Arsene for the next few years and pain in our back sides.
City will be under real pressure to go in the CL next season that they'll let the league slip just as they did last year. The whole world knows it's us that has lost the title with poor performances v WBA,West Ham,Stoke,Palace. With those points we'd have walked it even without a striker. get 2 strikers in and it won't matter what City do.
to me City loosing this season would be more hilarious than Liverpool 'ACTUALLY' winning the title! That would send them in another downward spiral like goons of recent past or moanu of this season! I want that! Trust me.
Both clubs struggle challenging on two fronts. City shouldn't with their weak squad. Be annoying if Liverpool win it, but to the Dippers credit they are keeping Scum Spuds out of CL. If Liverpool strengthen their squad next season, they could keep Spurs out of top five again along with United
Definitely not the scousers. They are bd enough already and haven't even won the league in years. Imagine the big un they will give forever and ever. Plus I cant stand that rat and starfish stevie. Rather aguero and toure win it
Man City are our neighbours and even I'd much prefer them than the scousers, I was actually cheering on City today, as the thought of the scousers winning it makes me feel ill. In an ideal world I'd rather see you guys winning it, but I just don't see you overhauling the points you've dropped recently, as your now relying on 2 teams to slip up
Everyone keeps saying if Liverpool win it. Then it will be everywhere and the fans unbearable. Just to confirm: 1. I dont think we will win it and im happy with what we have already achieved this season, but if we do win it I plan on being unbearable for at least the summer 2. Liverpool winning would do Englands chances in the summer the world of good imo. 3. There seems to be a thread about Liverpool on most boards on here, so the fact that we are everywhere already is as much the fault of rival fans as our widespread and vocal fanbase. As long as we make it to the CL for next year, we will be a big asset for English football in Europe.
That's assuming you don't slip up (again!). I think there will be far more twists and turns than people expect.
After watching you guys recently away from home, I'd be suprised if you won at Anfield. Liverpool do look very strong at home, and will be strong favourites for that game. I hope you guys do pull off a shock though
We have as much chance as anyone in a topsy turvy season without an outstanding team. My hope is we have learned our weaknesses, and recruit the missing cogs so next year we run like a swiss watch. Then everyone can genuinely worry about us.
