Please note that our Barclays Premier League home game against Liverpool on Sunday 1st December will now kick-off at the slightly later time of 2.05pm. The game was originally scheduled to start at 1.30pm after being selected for live coverage by Sky Sports, however Tottenham Hotspurâs recent qualification for the group stages of the UEFA Europa League has led to a slight adjustment of the TV schedules that weekend. The game will continue to be broadcast live by Sky Sports. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/201314-liverpool-h-ko-time-change-1032877.aspx
2.05pm seems like a stupid time. Why not just have it at 3pm ffs? Not that it bothers me in the end, gives me more time in the pub pre-match than I originally thought...
But why change the scheduling on more than one channel just so that a game can be shown at 3pm. It makes no difference whether its 2.05 or 3pm surely?
Sorry, didn't realise it was on a Sunday I thought it was a Saturday, that was why I thought having it 55 mins earlier than most games was stupid.
With the Europa league, the Spurs game moved bit Sky still wanted to show it. So Super Sunday is three games long this weekend and we are the middle game, one before, one after. It's not the first time Sky have done this and they don't put it on another channel as you would be splitting your viewers.
Even if it was a Saturday, I'm sure there's something against broadcasting games at 3pm on a Saturday in the UK.
Happy days. At a christening that Sunday and was guilted into going to the party which would mean the wife, daughter and i would miss the game. Now we can go to the party and slope off early and get to the game. Result
Not the case at all. The Cup Final was the only game played that day and didn't affect the crowds at other games as a live SKY game would. There was football before SKY.
