The year that Chelsea got 11, Spurs and Swansea both got 0 with 3 and 5 against.
Liverpool had a bad year with only 6 for and 5 against, while Man Utd were awarded 6 with 0 against.

The one that stands out to me is Newcastle. They've had more than Spurs, Villa and Everton, despite those clubs being ever present.
Seems a bit odd, when you consider that the Geordies spent two years outside of the Premier League.
Blackburn having the tenth most is also a little strange.

 

You don't get quality like Balotelli without forking out the cash.

I don't disagree with your assessment of United's football (although we've scored more league goals this season than champions elect Liverpool!) but the stats cover 22 seasons during which time we've been the most successful league team and Liverpool have been a mid table club turning corners!

There is some stat that gradually evolved from myth to fact. It started out as United never conceding penalties at OT when, as you say, the reality was more like penalties were given but happened to be missed (unfairly no doubt!).

 

Klopp is the Liverpool manager.

Correct stat is no away player scored a pen at Old T from Ruel fox, 93 to Danny Murphy, 2004.

Three were awarded and missed.

Not a lot of pens to be awarded in nearly 200 prem games though
