You can't say 'play like a girl'?

What if you're at a Liverpool Ladies FC game?

So you can't even turn to Suarez and say, "Stop being a ****ing queer and acting like a woman. Christ, it's like you're ******ed. **** off to Madrid you pikey ****." ??

This can't make pleasant reading for the Liverpool squad.

    Some of them are ridiculous.

You can't say 'Coloured' or 'Handicapped'?

Some years back my company sent me on a refresher course/ IT update, and was taking to a black gentleman and referred to him as been "Coloured" in a conversion, He never battered and eyelid, But later on was told "Coloured" is offensive :emoticon-0104-surpr Feels like i need a refresher course on what is offensive <confused>

I never knew Half cast was offensive, And never meant to insult anyone when describing some one as half cast ?

    I'd be ****ed.

"That's gay" and "you're gay" are standard responses to most of the things most of my friends say most of the time.

    Gay list.

    It's actually 'half-caste'.

Possibly an archaic usage in many parts of the Anglo Saxon world, although India's caste system seems as rigid and entrenched as ever, but it would be racist to comment negatively on that.<laugh>

I'm more perplexed by Gypsy, what's wrong with that? It's the proper ethnic terminology. Gypo or Pikey fair enough, but Gypsy is completely acceptable to....erm Gypsies.

What makes you think Chien was referring to a mixed-race fellow?

    You're correct - I missed his reference! <doh>

Still, mixed-race is good now; half-caste is both archaic and insulting.

We all, apparently, came out of (East?) Africa. We're all the same species - homo sapiens, sub-species Homo sapiens sapiens.

Stick to your inflexible and **** prejudices. Don't ever embrace change, nor adopt a liberal view. And die bitter and twisted, you poor excuse for a human being.

I've always used half-caste and never considered it insulting. I'd have thought any black with a brain wouldn't be particularly bothered, but let's not forget that there are thousands of people making their money by turning innocent words and phrases into 'vile racial attacks on defenseless minorities'
