i.e. Local residents who claim to be Liverpool fans because they buy their shirt and watch their games on the tele, sitting in the home stands... we've seen it before for Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea, which annoyed many. I wonder if during the friendly we might see this happen:
I remember going to Anfield in our second premier league season and there was a kid behind us with his dad in full Liverpool jersey. He also had a Liverpool scarf, hat and flag and no City gear insight. Somehow their useless stewards let them in, and despite a few dirty looks from some City fans on the concourse, they got into the stands. However, after their first goal they jumped up and celebrated only for a barrage of abuse from all true City fans to come their way. Even the kid got some stick. The stewards eventually intervened and chucked them out. The kid was crying and the dad was pissed off.
There will be loads of the scouse wannabees, probably outnumber the city fans, most city fans i know are not going, and all the liverpooll fans are fawning over the match like it's a european cup final, next week will be a sickening insight into modern football, bit like going to watch the x-factor.
After what happened last time we played them at home i am expecting the worse. To see so many city fans most wearing our colours surrounding the liverpool players at the end patting them on the backs and giving them hero status was sickning. And i dont think it would happen at any other championship club or league side.
There should NOT be any Liverpool colours in the home stands .....IF THE STEWARDS DO THEIR JOBS CORRECTLY!!!
With it been a pre-season game i think you are going to get parents in city colours and there kids in liverpool kits sat in the home ends what are the stewards going to do then.I know of two that are liverpool fans and there kids support city and they will be in the home end.
Without a shadow of doubt that ranks alongside giving Bratfud the South Stand as my lowest point following City. In fact, it's probably worse as at least we had cash as the excuse to give the stand over. There was NO excuse for those twats to be on the pitch fawning over Gerrard and it was frankly a disgrace. All those who went on the pitch shouldve received a fookin' good hiding and then be banned for life.
Its not just the photo thats sickning the clip on youtube is even worse you see just how many went to **** all over him.
Stomach churning, every single one of those ****s should never be allowed to set foot in our stadium again. ****ing pathetic.
Er.....we were just at the end of a Premier League season, in which we were relegated. If it was an England game, then they could be forgiven, it wasn't, so they can't, it was embarrassing.
Didn't some try grab his armband off him? Seem to remember the BBC commentator saying something like the crowd, surrounding Gerrard, were getting too rowdy. They were tossers. Worst thing i saw that day was a kid in a half a city shirt and half a bin dipper shirt sown together. Looked rank.
On the pitch was you !!! NO excuse el barninho, we were relegated ! fooking shocking thats what it was !
We were relegated before this game. It was an exhibition match and no more. And i am not condoning entering the field of play. There are no excuses for that.
