This is only the second "big club" we take on at their place - the first at Chelsea went to form, but it was far from the thrashing that the 4-1 scoreline suggests. In fact, until they got back in the game with that gift goal from blatent ref cockup with the rules of the game, we were very good value for the 1-0 lead. Even up till their third went in in the last 10 minutes, it could have gone either way.
Liverpool will be a much harder game though, and in reality, the same scoreline as at Chelsea would be a reasonable return for us. Rodgers has got them up for it this season and I expect them to go close to the title.
We've still got to face the other 8 in the current top 10 away from home, from Arsenal down to Swansea. If we get half a dozen points from the lot, we'll have done very well. It's our home games we have to worry about from now on in - that's what'll keep us up. Counting on any returns from games like next Saturday would be nuts.
Having said all that, I'd still like to see us play a wider game with the likes of Noone on the pitch - playing narrow and trying to stop the ball getting through to Suarez and Co. isn't going to work.
We have to expect them to score, but we must trouble them with the thought that we might as well.
But we have got to play 8 of the bottom 10 at home so it's not all bad news

) away from home, just that we shouldn't expect miracles against them.
) out of the way that will be the make or break of our season.I think we will stay up anyway. Why he wants another striker though, really does beggar belief.

Keep it tight, don't play a high line and certainly don't over commit. West Ham did this for about 40 minutes, till Demel put it in his own net and then the flood gates opened.
Most of the good play goes through Coutinho and Suarez, get in and amongst our midfield and cut off their "supply" and you might get some joy. Also, as a team we don't defend set pieces well, again, score early and quiet the crowd and get a lead to defend then the mood might change.
Chelsea are a better team than Liverpool..............
