So claims former manager Roy Evans in an interview with BBC Sport. Isn't it terrible when premature senility sets in, in a man of his age? Yeah, sure Roy. Liverpool can win the title - so can Swansea - but they won't. It seems self-delusion is fast becoming the only thing that Liverpool are champions at, nowadays
What title would that be, then? Most Deluded Ex-Manager of the Year? They'd definitely be in with a shout for that.
This is what winds me up about the Scousers. They genuinely believe that every season it is going to be their season, even though it has never been their season in the EPL, and with the way things have gone for them over the past few seasons it is NEVER going to be their season. I remember at the beginning of last season, the BBC published an interview with Robbie Fowler, who said that LFC "deserve" to be in the top 4, and that it was criminal that they weren't. That is the level of sheer arrogance that we are up against with these people. They are living in a dream world, where it is 1976 all over again!
Barca isn't the other end of the country,SAF doesn't know his geography very well.HIAG this part of what Evans said, He added: "Manchester United look strong and Manchester City are progressing but a few of the others seem to have dropped away. "Arsenal don't seem to be what they were and Tottenham are just starting to find their feet after a slow start. If we can get ourselves in that top four where we should be, that will be great progress." They really are a deluded bunch.
You would like to think that all of this will be academic after 'Pool get thrashed at home by United at the weekend, but unfortunately it won't. Such is the extent of their delusion, that 'Pool fans will blame the ref, and consider themselves merely unlucky.
Newcastle fans, all is forgiven - this bunch make you look like the most dour, glass-half-empty set of fans in the world...
You have to laugh at the Mickey Mousers and their hoards of glory supporters living off past glories, and their ex players constantly bigging them up to be more than they are. Most sane fans can see Liverpool will not win the title, and will be quite a distance away from it come May. Also, most sane fans can see that Liverpool have squandered around £80m on 4 average British players, in reality they have spent double what any sane manager/director of football should have.
Of course, yes. But to point this out publicly, is to denegrate the immaculate "St. Kenny" . Which, as we all know, is bordering on heresy.
