Lets see how it goes game by game till the end of the season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30570457
Bit premature to be writing yourselves off as you're only 9 points off the jump. Much depends on Liverpools resolve in the transfer market as to whether they can acquire 2 decent defenders.
Deluded manager, keeps his deluded fans on tender hooks 95% dipper fans believe the other him 5% were unable to answer as they were out stealing hub caps KRAP Keep Rogers At Pool
So..................................... V Swansea (H) W 4-1 - 5 points behind 4th were 7 points. 2 points gained. So I wonder if the 91% are close to changing their mind now.
It's not the points behind 4th, as we all know that it's very likely those that occupy 4th atm may very well not be there come the end of the season. The points reduction shows Liverpool are making headway against West Ham, Southampton, Spurs, Swansea which shows progress and is a confidence boost for LFC and fans. But in the end, has the gap between them and Arsenal closed, or them and United? iirc Arsenal has remained a constant 5 points, and United's has only just gone down to 8 points. It's a direct battle between 2 of those 3 teams and that's really the points that matter. I wouldn't rule Liverpool out though.
We have an outside chance but I just look at the evidence in front of me. City, Chelsea and United will end up above us. That leaves us leapfrogging Arsenal, Spurs and Saints ( I think West Ham will peal away). I struggle to see us passing Arsenal, Spurs look good and Southampton don't look like budging. I think they're pretty serious. I think 6th knocking one of the above 3 out.
still another 20 odd games to go, if we play well, win consistently and beat those that are above us we could get 4th. i honestly think we'll be lucky to finish in the top 6 though. we still have striker problems
Ah come on Liverpool fans trying to play it down. You know full well with half the season to go, you are more than capable of closing 5 points. I can see it being nip and tuck between 4th and 5th all the way. Talk of finishing below that is far fetched.
L'pool, Spurs, Southampton are all in with a shout of top 4. I still think it will be, Chavs, City, Goons, Utd.
