Perhaps because one of those wins was against Everton, (the other v Wolves), that is the basis for your claim to fame? In comparison, Everton have won 7 of their matches in 2012. Much better, as you are aware no doubt - but not much better than Everton - if that is your reasoning to support the contention that Liverpool are the best team on Merseyside! Liverpool played 7 Cup games this year, winning 5 inside 90 mins, compared to Everton played 5 and won 4. Not a great deal to crow about unless clutching at straws!

Also up until Shankly took us out of the 2nd division and put us on the road to success Everton were the richest club in the country due to Littlewoods Pools,and they purchased players at that time that we couldn't afford and paid better wages than we could afford.
