I know there's quite a while to go before the Liverpool away game, (Sun 4th Nov) but there was a time when tickets for the away game would have been snapped up straight away. Is it a sign of the times or are people just sick of being ripped off with the escalating prices of the tickets for some of the away games?

Requirements for tickets are now ST holders 50 points, and they'll be on sale to Members from Monday the 22cnd. Prices are £48 adults, £36 OAPSs, £15 U17s. I seem to remember they were top priced at £34 or £36 last season.

The price plus the fact that the game will be live on Sky will no doubt keep quite a few people at home.

Of course muggins will be going.

Do you think prices are influenced by how much travelling support a club can boast. What l mean is that everyone knows that Newcastle have a very loyal fan base, who follow their team in large numbers to even the most far flung places. Is this simply a case of exploiting the fans loyalty ? And being victims of our own fervour. Or would the ticket prices be the same, if say the home club were expecting far fewer travelling supporters than the Toon normally muster.

I've mentioned before that we get penalised by the home teams because of our loyal support. They know we'll turn up no matter what and take advantage of us. I travel with the same coach to all the away games and see the same old faces no matter what.

Not sure AB that it's only the opposition that takes advantage of our loyal support, if you get my drift.

Get your drift but you can't get my rep. You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Geordie in the Fen again.

Anfield and Goodison are terrible for restricted vision.

Who did you travel to the game with, the BP?

Yes I did, seven hours to get there, we got caught up in in traffic owing to an accident, then we hit all the commuters leaving work, absolute nightmare.
I've a feeling that game may have been on a Friday night, but it was wet windy and cold, and we lost the game, :emoticon-0106-cryin

Not paying that, think some of these clubs need a kick up the backside. Even Sunderland £39 for the match on Sunday and yet Sunderland University are offering 70 pairs of free ticket for the family part of the ground, and this is one of the cheapest grounds in the league.

Sometimes when you put the price of a ticket on top of travel, it's just not worth it, apart from the fact you may often have to use a days holiday or even two , just to get to a game, definitely not worth it.

I was out of pocket last season when the Arsenal game was rescheduled for tv, we were planning to make a weekend of it, but it was changed to midweek.

That's hideous! By the time you've paid for your ticket, bus, a pie and a pint, you'll be looking at £100 plus!

Sadly I rather suspect that every club in the league is like that.

And without sounding too negative we usually lose 3-0

Only been to Anfield once and found it the most uncomfortable ground I've ever been to. For a 6 '2' lad like me there is just no leg room when you want to sit down.

For that it would be cheaper to get Sky Sports and ESPN and watch around half of our games live on there

Try Old Trafford, I'm not even 6ft and I couldn't fit
