Im not surprised in the slighest, for 2 reasons,despite his reputation ( which is deserved )

1.Hes Free
2.Hes a quality footballer, who can play,technically very gifted,great passer and crosser and can handle the physical side of the game too.

Created a massive amount of goals for Carroll last year.

I wouldnt be surprised if all the top 6 make a move for him

I think if he had to choose out of the top four he might be persuaded to join us because of Andy Carroll and KK's whole rebuilding project. He says his one of the best English midfielders and he knows at Liverpool he could prove it.

Oh god I hope we're not in for him. He's not technically gifted. He's only seems to be good technically because you're comparing him with other English players. English players are not technical. Also, he's a thug and doesn't deserve a chance to be living let alone making a decent wage from playing football. Scum.

Liverpool need another central midfielder like they need Paul Konchesky back. Man United who don't have any premiership standard central midfielders would be ideal for Barton,as they are like him in other words scum,a scum player for a scum club that has scum players and a scum manager,in one word...scum joining scum.

 

I reckon Arsenal will sign him.
