Liverpool and Free Agents

I am very,very ,very confident that Liverpool wont sign any free agents pre January, that would mean the Yanks spending money,and possibly a lot more than what Dempsey would have cost, and they would rather walk the Atlantic than do that, I dont know people are discussing it .It aint happenin

 

Can only hope they are saving up for January? Who knows, we have to make due until then either way.

 

Aguero, Messi, and Derek Asamoah in January... FSG's way of saying sorry perhaps?

 

The main problem is free agents available. Owen could of done a job but would of split fans completely. The only ones that would be worth considering would be Drogba, Anelka and Barrios but all are currently at clubs and just rumours they could have there contracts ended. Then I dont think the owners would pay the wages for any of them anyway.

 

We don't need any of the free agents on offer and they would be expensive. I'd be disappointed if we went for one. Value can be found in the january window, you just have to look for it.

That's because they're running a business and not merely indulging a need for a plaything.

 

Think there is a reason these players are free agents; Past it, expensive, not particularly good.

Pick one of those 3 reasons and it would cover most of the players who are currently without a club. I know we're struggling for players in certain areas but would we really want a player who was a star in the past but currently fading (Owen), would cost a huge amount of money in wages (Drogba) or has never been all that good (Heskey/ FSP)?

I dont think we should panic and pick someone up just for the sake of that extra body, especially as there are young players already at the club who should be given the chance to prove themselves.

 

Or you could put they are indulging in ensuring LFC are mid table and NOT WINNING

 

I could, but I don't honestly think that's their aim.
