Why are they so idiotic? I think Twitter is a decent place if you want to follow footballing news, and stories often break on there first before other places but the abuse people get when they say something that isn't extremely positive about your club is crazy. One journalist was getting abused earlier because he had said De Gea was a liability at times! Similarly Stan Collymore was getting abused because he hadn't dedicated 3 hours of his show to the Hillsborough/Parliment discussions really. I think it was very harsh myself, he was one of the only ex-Liverpool players in the media actually blaming Tom Hicks and George Gillett for the plight we found ourselves in, unlike others who chose the easy route and blamed Rafa claiming he'd had enough money etc. Why do people react so angrily on Twitter, is it because they're essentially faceless, and won't face any repercussions when they abuse people? Or is there some other reason? It amazes me to see people get angry over the smallest things on Twitter
it may be because Twitter is so limited. It's also because, like Facebook, its inhabited by lots of people who have nothing better to do with their time and believe that if they make 'noise' they are setting the scene and are therefore very clever.
Theres also a lot of people on twitter who " tow the party line too". Fair enough Kenny is a legend,and more often than not gets things right, but if he makes a mistake, I dont see the point denying the fact its a mistake, just cos its Kenny eg.If we are honest we have paid over the odds on transfers on British players in the summer, when we could of got cheaper better, foreigners Disagreeing with someone is fine, but some people on twitter get far too abusive and carried away
Never used it and was bored with Facebook within weeks. The problem is that once a site gets too big there are always too many idiots, I hardly ever used the old 606 as there was no debate the thread was flooded straight away and any sensible post lost.
I don't use twitter and never look at it - it seems like a legal stalking ground to me. Or maybe I'm just getting old. Facebook's for kids so I don't use that either. I vote Not606
I think twitter is rubbish. in theory you've a free texting tool for yourself and your private group of mates. in practice your got a toll that tv shows and radio shows have latched onto to get soundbites. The "famous" and the "wannabees" are on twitter and lazy radio shows in particular and reality tv shows are using ti to drum up commments and air time filler. In short I tried it found it poor to use and not very well design and to be frank don't want to follow the inane commentry on it.
I'm on Facebook because I get the 3rd degree from my Ms if I deactivate my account..."Who are you trying to avoid?" n that ****. The last status update I got grilled for being miserable from a load of people I knew from school etc because I wrote in "I have nothing to write on here just like every ****ing one else", some thought it was directed at them but really it was at everyone.
I still have my facebook account from college and still use it to keep in touch with those who are too far away to call or different countries ( Brazilians and Europeans I played with and all that). But I have gone through and deleted about half the random people who you add. Good for updates with things as well, Liverpool news, FIFA news, music, etc.
On facebook and twitter, but don't really use either. There are some interesting people on there, but also lots of empty-headed numpties and vacuous bimbos blurting about X-Factor or Jordan. To me that is just white noise...
The trouble is if I open a facebook account I know i'll get hounded by loads of hot women. The Mrs wouldn't like it and I get enough fan mail as it is...
One thing that does annoy me though...the LFC fans who comment on the Official website's news stories. The majority of them sound like 9 year olds (they probably are) when they blurt out pointless comments with about a thousand exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter made me have a facebook account so I could keep up with her while she was abroad. Apart from that I don't use it. I'm not interested in twitter and nothing I've heard so far is likely to change my mind. I'm just an old fart really, I think it's bad enough on here people being abusive to others they've never met in a way they wouldn't dream of face to face.
