From what I've seen of us and Liverpool this season, they will finish above us this year. Much, much better team than last year and exciting football. What a difference a few decent signings make.............eh Harry
They have spent £100m plus since January - if they don't finish above us they should be embarrassed - that's not to say it will necessarily happen though.
Some serious over reacting here. We have played 1 league game and that was against the champions away from home and already you are writing us off
No way am I writing us off, all I saying is that the way both teams are playing and the way Liverpool played today, we will struggle to finish above them, be that 5th 4th or 3rd and that if Levy and Co had spent earlier (not forgetting last January) we might look as good as Liverpool did today
Lets wait and see after 5 or 6 games. We may still sign Cahill, Leandro and Diarra. If we sign all three then i would say we woud have the better team.
We've played 3 competitive games and destroyed Hearts in 30mins of the 1st leg and then took it easy the rest of both games in my opinion so how did we play poorly there? As for losing to Man Utd at OT, no1 has won there for 18 months I think and our record there has always been shocking so I'm not bothered by that. Liverpool looked good today but we are more than capable of a performance like that against the likes of Bolton etc.
How you can draw that conclusion after one league game is a mystery to me. It's up to you fella, but this early in the season, I'd actually try getting behind the team, not wave the white flag and slag off the manager. I might have got it all wrong, but I thought that's what being a football supporter was about.
Its also about having an opinion on everything within that team, if people want to get on the backs of the team after one lousy ****ing result in a league game then they are perfectly within their rights too! After today, we'll probably be bottom of the table at the beginning of September with no points from 2 games, is it alright to complain then? There have been significant failures in this and past transfer windows, lessons that have not been learnt. Opinions on the players we have signed may vary, but lets be honest, if they had been signed earlier then we could have been alot better off!!!
Let's wait till this afternoons performance, then make more observations- then wait a few more games. If we are still in the sh1t then by all means start to be concerned- until then support the team. COYS!
Oh yes, its only a probable - I hold onto the hope we can get something out of it, as I also think that if we can get all our players back fit and firing we are in with a shout at fourth. I am concerned, but I was concerned before the Man U game - and will continue to be concerned until we hit the 60 point mark....
