Who do you think Liverpool will get 1st as it coming up to that time of year again when we find out about our teams fixtures for the season coming?
It'll probably be away..so I'm guessing at Blackburn. We seem to always get away games first day of the season. Its happened 11 out of the last 12 seasons. We were home last season..to Arsenal. Man United will probably be home to Swansea,Howard Webb will be the referee.
We had another easy home game aswell at the start of the 2003 - 2004 season, Chelsea who had just spent £100m.....
QPR at home most probably...with Howard Webb refereeing it.It will be a promoted team. One thing for sure is Everton will be at home and Liverpool will be away.
erm....... I've it narrowed down to 19 possibilities for the opponent and its either home or away... is that good enough for ya at this time?
All those Villa season ticket holders staying away and watching Big Eck running down the line celebrating a 5-0 mauling.
come to think of it, how are the fixtures sorted? i cant think its a random thing so anyone know the process of how it comes about?
We will get a tricky mid table team away. United will be at home to QPR, Norwich or Swansea. In April or May, United will play Chelsea, we will play Spurs or City, And 2 of the 3 newly promoted teams will meet. It's not fixed though.
A link, just for you http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/06/secrets_of_the_fixture_compute.html I hope we get you at Carrow Road 1st game.
a computer program "randomly" selects the teams to play for the first 19 games, the next 19 are then supposed to be the reverse fixtures. however............ this leads to the enivtable messing/// as 1. the police have to be consulted about matches so if say arsenal v spurs and chelsea v utd or something is on the same day in london they may change it... or for intance if city and utd both have to travel to london on the same day.. the city fans from the north will clash with the surrey fans lol.. 2. Sky etc get thier oar in. sky super sundays don't happen randomly. sky will try to get top 4 games together to create a massive double header... 2pm, 4pm... 3. juggling of dates then occur for the regular euopean games etc. so all in all guys it is a fair syste, we did play at home last year, just it was arsenal which is highly unusual fixture but 1/19 chance. you do have to wonder sometime how relegation candidates seem to eet at the end of the year but think about it...... 5 games to go is the sharp end that 5/19 clubs. now 3 clubs are newly promoted so you've a fair chance here of hitting them... look at deal or no deal how many times do you see some numpty taking out the to p5 boxes in the first orund lol. Lets face it any one of 6/7 clubs can go down so if you have a match inthe last 5 agasint one its not unusual.
